Part of a series of site specific text installations that investigate the relationship between significance and the observer. For the work to be contemplated, direct interaction by the spectator is required.

The work “The observer is not separate from the object observed” was installed on a mirror inside the Telefónica Foundation’s elevator. The sentence was cut from etched glass vinyl and was placed at eye level on the mirror, while reading the sentence the viewer sees his own image reflecting behind it.
