- description:
This project proposes a symbolic and functional displacement between two educational institutions located just a three-minute walk apart, yet differentiated by contrasting learning logics. For one week, the Centre d’Art Santa Mònica becomes the school for a group of sixth-grade children. At the same time, the Escola Drassanes, a formal educational institution, transforms into part of the art center, hosting the work of artists within its classrooms.

In Catalan, sojornar means "to stay in a place for a certain period of time," a word that evokes this temporary and transitory situation where the usual roles and functions of each institution are blurred, opening up new possibilities. This exchange is not just a change of location but an experiment on the boundaries of institutional frameworks, poetically signed with a simple yet meaningful gesture: the exchange of the plaques that identify each institution, symbolically transferring their identities from one space to the other.
